Mike Hamel - Unite Founder

Mike Hamel is one of New Zealand’s top hairdressers, celebrated alongside his wife Glynis. Beyond his successful beauty career, Mike has always had a passion for sports, particularly cricket and table tennis. He started coaching cricket in the early nineties, working with primary school teams and Canterbury Representatives under-14s and under-15s. After 35 years of experience, Mike is now an assistant coach for the Old Boys Collegian senior squad, and coaches at Christs College in Table Tennis. With his extensive background, him and the Unite Sports Charitable Trust is opening a new training center to help young athletes reach their full potential. Mike is committed to inspiring the next generation, encouraging them to chase their passion and become their best selves.

Our programs will focus on power, strength, speed, and agility, using cutting-edge techniques to develop high-performance athletes. We know that strength and conditioning is critical to preventing injuries and the time and cost associated with the rehabilitation of athletes
